I think I have reached the end of all the photos I could have possibly taken over Autumn in the mountains
I have never seen so many different hues and shades or orange, burgundy, yellow and even charcoal!
I got inspired when I was playing with the dog one morning and noticed how the sun looked under the leaves of the trees and the idea was born!
It was time to get creative and take the shots I kept seeing walking around the yard and in the fields on the way to work. Remember … stop and take that shot!
I did my research of the sun movements over the next few days to see when the light hitting the trees was just right. This also depended on where the tree was positioned.
Though the photo below was just taken on impulse, so always have your camera with you
Look up to find inspiring shots of leaves against the blue sky
Get down low and get the perspective of a ladybug!
So many different perspectives, I looked up, lay down on my belly and shot up a tree root.
I stood underneath a tree during sunset and got a blast of colour!
Last count of all the photos taken of just leaves was around the 200 mark!
Research the sun movements for the right spot for it to shine through the leaves without being too harsh!
There was also some dabbling in texture which gave this lovely tree a painted effect!
And of course I save the best for last …. these amazing trees below caught my eye every day I drove to work!
They were breathtaking …. and of course continuing with HDR, this was the result
I hope you had a great Autumn or Spring depending on where you are
That you got creative, looked up at the world and captured some beautiful moments in time!
