Wandering around my own backyard, I have found it to be one of the most interesting places to find things to photograph
This also means that I don’t have to get dressed up all fancy, it’s strictly pyjamas, tracksuit or ugg boot attire 😉
We have lived in a number of places over the past few years and all the different houses or apartments had something unique to photograph
That could be rainbows, flowers, spiders, insects, birds, trees or a lake
Backyard photography is such a passion of mine that I ended up buying a macro lens to find out what else was there that I might not be able to see so well
This is a weekend photography inspiration for those that may be stuck on things to take
Let me know what you have found in your backyard
Here is some I took without a macro lens, just the basic lens that came with the camera
Catch an bee in flight!
Looking into the window from the backyard
Mundane things like the washing line
Or a garden gnome!
Using torchlight at night gives awesome colours!
A pet in their natural environment
From the balcony of a house we rented overlooking the bay, early morning
What’s that you say? You don’t have a backyard, you live in an apartment!
Well an apartment has advantages such as a guard rail for balance and height to see over the trees and fence
And if you are really lucky and have a great view, you may get a shot like this!
I took this a few years ago from the third storey of an apartment which was one back from the beach
Have a great weekend!
