Sydney by Boat – Part 2

Last  week I spoke about my adventures on a boat of which I had control of the destination in Sydney by Boat – Part 1

But some of my favourite shots have been taken on the way to work!

With … my mobile phone. So easy anyone can do this!

The software and megapixels on phones just about rival the DSLRs

And that’s where you capture some of the most amazing shots as you don’t always have your DSLR with you

First you need a wharf …. like this one

If there is nothing to shoot out the window, turn your camera on the interesting passengers (yes I am probably not the person you want to sit near 🙂 )

Don’t be discouraged by the rainy days, that is when the mood happens

And yes you may be the only person standing out of the cover during a thunderstorm but wasn’t that shot worth it!

Walk all around the boat, get different perspectives and angles, play with the lighting, try to capture the motion of the boat

Tilt shift editing and lenses can help focus the motion

This is how I amuse myself on the way to work!

Now go have fun 🙂
